hmmm... some things about this story just don't add up ... infowars.com : "Authorities originally said they had exchanged gunfire with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev for more than one hour Friday evening before they were able to subdue him. The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation, say investigators recovered a 9 mm handgun believed to have been used by Tsarnaev’s brother, Tamerlan, from the site of a gun battle Thursday night, which injured a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority officer. Dzhokhar was believed to have been shot before he escaped. The officials tell The Associated Press that no gun was found in the boat. Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said earlier that shots were fired from inside the boat." read more here ... peAce... topbop!

Tame the body ...

The human being is made up of several coincident spiritual components with one somewhat significant addition.  Within ourselves we are a triumvirate of the conscious, sub-conscious and, super-conscience spirit entities.  In addition, we have during our short lifetimes here on earth, a physical *self*.  

Are our physical selves... our bodies, in reality, a uniquely enhanced animal?

What do you think?  

The physical body is an animal, albeit one unique and specialized.... adapted to support a bi-directional and extraordinarily rich interface with the spiritual triumvirate.

So here is my attempt to share with you, dear reader, what came to me this morning ...

Realize yourself first in your spirit selves and come to know what and who you truly are. Next to begin to fully hydrate and enliven your life, come to know that the inherent purity and brilliance of the pure spirit, through its spirit nature, is capable of remarkable manifestations in your own life, indeed direct realization of your most heartfelt dreams and more.  Much of what is required of you on the path to full manifestation of your human potential is an unwavering focus on nurturing the balanced, healthy and harmonious interplay of the three spirit entities that comprise your spiritual self.  With that degree of humanness comfortably established, pursue a laser sharp intense focus of your innermost attention lovingly towards your super-conscious, and heed its every thought-message.  The challenge then is getting the physical self to effectively and efficiently at least, stay out of your way and allow your spirit self to manifest the modification of your situation to congruence with your vision of what needs to be, that is, your dreams ... then complete the launch of your fully instantiated human self by actually leveraging your physical self as an eager and willing collaborator in your human being.  

I am suggesting, therefore,  that we refer to the response to this challenge as, "Taming your body...  your physical self .... "  akin to the animal training that is part and parcel of one on man's most common inter-species proclivities, the domesticated personal pet ...

Dear reader, I feel compelled to issue this call to attention to our newly re-elected POTUS, Barack Obama, the esteemed members of both houses of congress, and the American people.  Today as the nation's election event is suitably celebrated or dissed, don't fall for the hyperbole. The reality of the "democratic" process is the electorate is merely treated to a spectacular show starring the candidates, the special interest groups, the PACs, the Political Parties and anyone else who can fund a media buy.  Of course, in this ever more digital age, it's all augmented, albeit at a significantly lower volume by myriad bloggers and other social media practitioners across the free space of the cyberweb.  Once in office, the "elected representative" takes his or her place in the government machinery, allegedly to attend to the needs of our common good as their values and beholdennesses dictate.  In fact they attend to another agenda entirely against the backdrop of which all that "common good" activity pales in comparison.  The reality of our governing system is that the military-industrial-congressional complex has, as Ike forewarned, become an apparently unstoppable juggernaut that shifts the frame of reference and thereby the entire net outcomes of our cities, states, countries, continents and worlds efforts toward what should be the natural pure purpose of a government - securing the common good.  The spiritual and cultural consequences, and their impact on our human attitudes towards one another and our planet, are by far most worrisome.
