Believe it or not...

Our planet is controlled by a corrupt Über-class that conducts it's day to day business via a worldwide scheme perpetrated through a series of bribes, kickbacks, payoffs, favors and "gifts" exchanged between themselves. Meanwhile, they grind away at humanity with a sickening procession of "conflicts" they use to propel their military-industrial-political financial Juggernaut forward. Huge weapons contracts are negotiated with dictators, despots, autocrats and tyrants with the off-shore numbered bank accounts of "presidents", "legislators", "politicians", "diplomats", "leaders", "envoys" and "emissaries" ticking ever higher with each fighter jet, bomb, missile or anti-personnel mine shipment to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel and you-name-where-else. Lavish vacations, jewelry and assorted riches beyond what most average citizens can even imagine are handed about as tokens of appreciation for the facilitation of the graft and corrupt deals. Throw into the mix the so-called leaders of the "free world" casually looking the other way while their dictatorial partners in these crimes do whatever they want to their own people, using the very military infrastructure they have been provided with through mind-numbing "military aid packages" to the tune of billions of dollars. ... taxpayer dollars!!! They oppress non-violent protesters, beating, imprisoning and yes even killing them to silence their cries that while the dictators line their pockets and ride high, the populace subsists in abject poverty or worse. They subject their citizenry to unspeakable hardship and deny them their own freedom in determining the course of their own lives. They fail to support the individuals rights to pursue economic entrepreneurship if they are not properly connected or pay the appropriate "fees". The recent popular uprisings spreading across the middle east is directly the result of the people in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain ... finally getting access to information that sheds the disinfectant of the light of day on this entire stinking mess.

All the while the censored and ghost-written "media" keep us properly misinformed of the reality in which we exist ... and the FBI, CIA and the rest protect the criminals and attack the whistle-blowers seizing their computers at gun-point, labeling them, yes, you guessed it, "terrorists"!!!

Dear reader, prepare yourself for there is a change in the wind. Finally the truth about what has been going on for decades is beginning to emerge. Not as a single uncovered case but vast network exposing hundreds of thousands of documented examples. This is not speculation but a frightening image of this disgusting and sad state of affairs backed up by hard evidence. Think wikileaks was newsworthy? U.S. Covert War in Pakistan

AP Reports that "Two American missile attacks killed 15 people Friday in a region in northwest Pakistan." They go on to say "U.S. officials do not acknowledge firing the missiles, much less comment on who they are targeting." Even Al-Qaeda claims responsibility for their attacks. Why is U.S. foreign policy to take lethal actions, on the soil of another sovereign nation, and "not acknowledge" it? Quoting Council on Foreign Relations, "Although targeting terror suspects with UAVs in official combat areas is deemed legal, the use of the technology outside a declared zone of combat--i.e., Iraq and Afghanistan--has brought international criticism. Complicating the picture in Pakistan is that the UAV-targeting program is believed to be operated by the CIA; a number of disclosures by senior U.S. officials have all-but confirmed the operations. The distinction between military applications and covert CIA use of drones has become a point of contention, as are issues pertaining to collateral damage and legal justification." According to The New York Times, "In September, drone attacks in Pakistan drastically increased as part of the C.I.A.'s covert war in the region. The agency has launched at least 20 attacks, the most ever during a single month, and more than twice the number in a typical month." So, what do you think, my fellow Americans? Is U.S. foreign policy a response to terrorism, or the cause?

Let us say for the sake of our discussion that you are in charge of transportation infrastructure energy policy for Planet Earth. If you find a world wide government post beyond your capacity of imagination, you can assume your scope is reduced to North America ... just bear with me, I submit the perspective applies equally well regardless of scale. You are about to make public your roadmap for the future.

Of course, your choices are myriad, with many recommending and deselecting aspects to be considered for each.

Of course we still have countless numbers of other matters of equal or perhaps greater import than this, for one example we need to settle on the optimal energy sourcing formula. But for this episode of our dialog, dear reader, please consider this.

If through an exhaustive, comprehensive and decades-spanning analysis process you had narrowed your choices down to the following two, which in your official capacity, would you select and why?

You will direct your planet (...or your personal composting heap, for you backyard scale folks that are still with me) to set as the strategic goal the achievement of an infrastructure based on energy movement and delivery via one of these. Will you select -

• the worldwide transport, storage, distribution and burning of a highly flammable toxic liquid fuel or...
  
• distribution of energy using an electrical grid?
  

I know which one I would choose...

Obama seeks Patriot Act extensions...

The Obama administration has asked Congress to extend three contentious provisions of the USA Patriot Act - a bill once described by President Obama as "shoddy" - and urged an appeals court to deny access to U.S. courts for detainees at a military prison in Afghanistan.

The three portions permit roving wiretaps, the seizure of certain business records and the monitoring of suspected "lone wolf" terrorists. Mr. Weich said the administration is willing to consider modifications that provide additional privacy protections provided they do not undermine the effectiveness of the provisions.

The American Civil Liberties Union said it is "disappointed" that the administration wants "the reauthorization of the three expiring provisions." The group said, however, that it is "encouraged" by the administration's willingness to discuss reforms to the Patriot Act, which President Obama in 2004 called "a shoddy piece of legislation."

American Government Upset War Reality Made Public...

The heartbreaking image of a dying U.S. marine that has reignited American divisions over the Afghan war...

It is a deeply disturbing image which depicts the grim reality of war - a fatally wounded U.S. soldier lies slumped in the mud as fellow marines desperately try to save him as his young life ebbs away.

But the release of the picture by a news agency in the U.S., which went against the wishes of the victim's family, has sparked a furious debate which has divided a nation.


The grim photograph shows Lance Corporal Joshua 'Bernie' Bernard, 21, shortly after he was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade during a Taliban ambush of his squad last month in Dahaneh, Afghanistan.

The U.S. defence secretary, Robert Gates, condemned the decision by the news agency Associated Press to publish the graphic photograph after Bernard was killed in Afghanistan.

In a scathing letter to Tom Curley, president and chief executive of the AP, Gates said the decision was 'appalling', saying it was a matter of 'judgment and common decency' not to publish the photo.

Gates wrote in the letter: 'I cannot imagine the pain and suffering Lance Corporal Bernard's death has caused his family.

'Why your organisation would purposely defy the family's wishes knowing full well that it will lead to yet more anguish is beyond me.

'Your lack of compassion and common sense in choosing to put this image of their maimed and stricken child on the front page of multiple newspapers is appalling.'

However, AP has defended the decision, which editors said they made only after careful review and sharing the pictures with the family.

The news agency said it decided 'to make public an image that conveys the grimness of war and the sacrifice of young men and women fighting it'.

My sympathy and condolences to the Bernard family and friends on their tragic loss. Many years ago during the U.S. Civil War, Union General William Tecumseh Sherman said "War is Hell". Photos like this can help with the lesson of the words which the human race and America in particular need to reflect upon... Capitalism is evil. That is the conclusion U.S. documentary maker Michael Moore comes to in his latest movie "Capitalism: A Love Story," which premieres at the Venice film festival Sunday.

Blending his trademark humor with tragic individual stories, archive footage and publicity stunts, the 55-year-old launches an all out attack on the capitalist system, arguing that it benefits the rich and condemns millions to poverty.

"Capitalism is an evil, and you cannot regulate evil," the two-hour movie concludes.

'Moon rock' in Dutch museum is just petrified wood

AMSTERDAM -- The Dutch national museum says one of its prized possessions, a rock supposedly brought back from the moon by U.S. astronauts, is just a piece of petrified wood.

The museum acquired the rock after the death of a former prime minister, who received it in 1969 from the then-U.S. ambassador during a visit by the Apollo 11 astronauts.

An expert saw it on display in 2006 and told the museum it was unlikely NASA would have given away any moon rocks three months after Apollo returned to earth.

Geologists from Amsterdam's Free University said they could see at a glance the rock was not from the moon.

A museum spokeswoman said Thursday the geologists identified it as petrified wood worth no more than euro50 ($70).
