Believe it or not...
Our planet is controlled by a corrupt Über-class that conducts it's day to day business via a worldwide scheme perpetrated through a series of bribes, kickbacks, payoffs, favors and "gifts" exchanged between themselves. Meanwhile, they grind away at humanity with a sickening procession of "conflicts" they use to propel their military-industrial-political financial Juggernaut forward. Huge weapons contracts are negotiated with dictators, despots, autocrats and tyrants with the off-shore numbered bank accounts of "presidents", "legislators", "politicians", "diplomats", "leaders", "envoys" and "emissaries" ticking ever higher with each fighter jet, bomb, missile or anti-personnel mine shipment to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel and you-name-where-else. Lavish vacations, jewelry and assorted riches beyond what most average citizens can even imagine are handed about as tokens of appreciation for the facilitation of the graft and corrupt deals. Throw into the mix the so-called leaders of the "free world" casually looking the other way while their dictatorial partners in these crimes do whatever they want to their own people, using the very military infrastructure they have been provided with through mind-numbing "military aid packages" to the tune of billions of dollars. ... taxpayer dollars!!! They oppress non-violent protesters, beating, imprisoning and yes even killing them to silence their cries that while the dictators line their pockets and ride high, the populace subsists in abject poverty or worse. They subject their citizenry to unspeakable hardship and deny them their own freedom in determining the course of their own lives. They fail to support the individuals rights to pursue economic entrepreneurship if they are not properly connected or pay the appropriate "fees". The recent popular uprisings spreading across the middle east is directly the result of the people in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain ... finally getting access to information that sheds the disinfectant of the light of day on this entire stinking mess.
All the while the censored and ghost-written "media" keep us properly misinformed of the reality in which we exist ... and the FBI, CIA and the rest protect the criminals and attack the whistle-blowers seizing their computers at gun-point, labeling them, yes, you guessed it, "terrorists"!!!
Dear reader, prepare yourself for there is a change in the wind. Finally the truth about what has been going on for decades is beginning to emerge. Not as a single uncovered case but vast network exposing hundreds of thousands of documented examples. This is not speculation but a frightening image of this disgusting and sad state of affairs backed up by hard evidence. Think wikileaks was newsworthy? There is a new kid on the block and they appear poised to tear the roof off this sucker!!!
Are you angry? ... at least disturbed? Watch this video where a certain "leader" shows his impunity and makes a pass to revisit the scene of one of the largest crimes in history when the Air Force One backup plane buzzes skyscrapers in Manhattan. By the way, not that he has not been part of the "business as usual" program, Obama was not the "leader" on board who ordered this flight. The details of what actually was going on here have not been declassified....
Be aware, and be ready ...

Obama seeks Patriot Act extensions...

The Obama administration has asked Congress to extend three contentious provisions of the USA Patriot Act - a bill once described by President Obama as "shoddy" - and urged an appeals court to deny access to U.S. courts for detainees at a military prison in Afghanistan.
The three portions permit roving wiretaps, the seizure of certain business records and the monitoring of suspected "lone wolf" terrorists. Mr. Weich said the administration is willing to consider modifications that provide additional privacy protections provided they do not undermine the effectiveness of the provisions.
The American Civil Liberties Union said it is "disappointed" that the administration wants "the reauthorization of the three expiring provisions." The group said, however, that it is "encouraged" by the administration's willingness to discuss reforms to the Patriot Act, which President Obama in 2004 called "a shoddy piece of legislation."

Gen. George Casey, the Army chief of staff, said the world remains dangerous and unpredictable, and the Pentagon must plan for extended U.S. combat and stability operations in two wars. "Global trends are pushing in the wrong direction," Casey said. "They fundamentally will change how the Army works."

Obama's Rhetoric Is the Real "Catastrophe"?

President Barack Obama has turned fearmongering into an art form. He has repeatedly raised the specter of another Great Depression. First, he did so to win votes in the November election. He has done so again recently to sway congressional votes for his stimulus package.

How Electronic Voting Machines Could Steal Our Democracy
...not in MY America? By the way, try to digg this story... This is censored by the digg site... please let me know if it works for you...
"Did you know the hardware and software used in electronic voting machines (DREs) is considered proprietary and cannot be inspected by outside experts? That means that a small number of people could easily program DREs to flip votes, and the evidence of this crime would be safely locked inside the machines, with no way that anyone (except for the manufacturers) to know with 100% certainty that votes were accurately counted, or even if they were counted at all. And paper trails are only useful if they are actually counted. They often aren’t."
As Josef Stalin (allegedly) said, "It's not the people who vote that count. It's the people who count the votes." - www.alternet.org October 30, 2008
As the 2008 election nears, electronic voting experts from ACM will be monitoring the reliability of voting equipment, including new systems deployed in many locations across the country. These computerized voting machines, intended to eliminate the confusion and errors that marred recent elections, offer opportunities for efficiency and ease of voting. They also pose new risks to accuracy and reliability that could undermine trust in the voting process and the technology that drives it. These experts, from ACM’s U.S. Public Policy Committee (USACM) http://www.acm.org/usacm, will be analyzing voting issues around the nation as Election Day approaches. Population Control - Part 1 ...
Let's consider that in 1947 Australian Nobel Prize winner and world-famous microbiologist Sir Macfarlane Burnet supported biological warfare as a form of population control ["Biological warfare - Remarks by Sir Macfarlane Burnet", National Archives of Australia], moreover, that Third World de-population has been U.S. strategic policy since '74.

How Republicans Hijacked the Justice Dept to Swing Elections

The GOP may have committed massive vote fraud in plain sight by encouraging widespread voter purges and restricting registration campaigns. Jim Crow has returned to American elections. The DOJ has stopped enforcing federal laws designed to aid registration. Political appointees have pressured federal prosecutors.

Resume of George W...

Resume of George W. Bush
The White House, USA
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* LAW ENFORCEMENT: I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.
* MILITARY: I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.
* COLLEGE: I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a cheerleader.
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
* I ran for U.S. Congress and lost.
* I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas, in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.
* I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.
* With the help of my father and our right-wing friends in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS:
* I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union.
* During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America.
* I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money.
* I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American history.
* With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing by over 500,000 votes.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:
* I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.
* I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week.
* I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.
* I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.
* I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period.
* I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.
* In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that figure has risen to over 3 million lost jobs by the end of 2003.
* I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history.
* My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.
* I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President.
* I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations.
* My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. history, Enron.
* My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision.
* I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history.
* I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.
* I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.
* I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.
* I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any President in U.S. history.
* I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government.
* I've broken more international treaties than any President in U.S. history.
* I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.
* I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.
* I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.
* I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).
* I set the record for fewest number of press conferences of any President since the advent of television.
* I set the the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year period.
* After taking off the entire month of August, 2001, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history.
* I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.
* I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.
* I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community.
* I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in war time.
* In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on our British friends.
* I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.
* I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD.
* I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice.
RECORDS AND REFERENCES:
* All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view.
* All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.
* All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.
So who will the next president be?

Bush The Torturer, The Tyrant, The Disgrace

CommonDreams.org - Sunday, March 9, 2008 - On Saturday, Mr. Bush vetoed a bill that would have outlawed the CIA’s use of torture in interrogations. The United States is officially, proudly, the land of torturers. It’s true that the United States has been at this for years....the difference here is not only is the president endorsing torture, he’s doing it so openly and willfully...

From Bush's radio address: “The bill Congress sent me would take away one of the most valuable tools in the war on terror — the CIA program to detain and question key terrorist leaders and operatives.” The bill, of course, does no such thing. It does not take away the CIA’s right to detain anyone. It does not take away the CIA’s right to question anyone. It only forbids the CIA to employ waterboarding and other forms of torture or degrading and dehumanizing treatment of inmates-inmates, we should always, always remember, who aren’t terrorists, but alleged terrorists. Until they are proven so, it is only their incarcerators who are the demonstrably proven terrorists.

McCain on waterboarding: Straight Talk Curve Ball?
October 25, 2007 - Sioux Center, Ia. - Des Moines Register
— Waterboarding is a form of torture no matter how it is done and should be a prohibited among U.S. military interrogation practices, Republican presidential candidate John McCain said today, taking issue with GOP rival Rudy Giuliani’s recent remarks.
“Anyone who knows what waterboarding is could not be unsure. It is a horrible torture technique used by Pol Pot and being used on Buddhist monks as we speak,” said McCain after a campaign stop at Dordt College here.
“People who have worn the uniform and had the experience know that this is a terrible and odious practice and should never be condoned in the U.S. We are a better nation than that.”
Compare and contrast that stand with what Senator McCain said recently:
Feb. 20, 2008 - Yellow Springs, Oh. - AP
- Republican presidential candidate John McCain said President Bush should veto a measure that would bar the CIA from using waterboarding and other harsh interrogation methods on terror suspects.
McCain voted against the bill, which would restrict the CIA to using only the 19 interrogation techniques listed in the Army field manual.
His vote was controversial because the manual prohibits waterboarding - a simulated drowning technique that McCain also opposes - yet McCain doesn't want the CIA bound by the manual and its prohibitions...
More "Straight Talk": "I was on the record as saying that they could use additional techniques as long as they were not cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment," McCain said. "So the vote was in keeping with my clear record of saying that they could have additional techniques, but those techniques could not violate" international rules against torture."
So the CIA using waterboarding somehow doesn't qualify as making it "condoned in the U.S."?

U.S. led invasion of Iraq: a face tells the story...

Here is the aftermath of the U.S. policy in Iraq. In the name of Freedom, and the name of Democracy...
Abbas Hussein sits in the ruins of his shop in central Baghdad, a day after a bomb planted under a horse-drawn cart exploded killing at least three people.
"If the people of the United States had the real story about what their government has done in Iraq, the occupation would already have ended ... If people in my country could hear the stories of life under occupation and put themselves in Iraqis' stories, they would understand. I hold that hope because the stories of Iraq are our story now." -- Dahr Jamail's Weblog
“Of course it’s about oil, we can’t really deny that,” retired four-star Army Gen. John Abizaid said of the Iraq campaign. -- Stanford University, 2007 Roundtable, “Courting Disaster: The Fight for Oil, Water and a Healthy Planet”.
"Free governments do not oppress their people or attack other free nations." -- George W. Bush, National Security Strategy, March 16, 2006

Iraq will have enduring bases, not permanent ones...
WASHINGTON (AFP) - February 10, 2008 - President George W. Bush acknowledged the United States would seek a military presence in Iraq for "years" but pledged in an interview aired Sunday that he would not establish permanent bases. Bush brushed aside concerns expressed by critics that a Status of Forces Agreement Washington is discussing with the Baghdad goverment would commit future US presidents to a long-term deployment in Iraq. "We won't have permanent bases," Bush told Fox New television in the interview conducted at his retreat at Camp David, Maryland.
globalsecurity.org - On 23 March 2004 it was reported that "U.S. engineers are focusing on constructing 14 "enduring bases," long-term encampments for the thousands of American troops expected to serve in Iraq for at least two years.... The number of U.S. military personnel in Iraq, between 105,000 and 110,000, is expected to remain unchanged through 2006.. the US plans to operate from former Iraqi bases in Baghdad, Mosul, Taji, Balad, Kirkuk and in areas near Nasiriyah, near Tikrit, near Fallujah and between Irbil and Kirkuk... enhance airfields in Baghdad and Mosul..."

Bush Doublespeak/Newspeak: Enduring not permanent...? Well okay I see now... I trust this distinction, don't you?
