U.S. steps up anti-Iran rhetoric...
"It would be a serious mistake if a nation like Iran were to become a nuclear power" Mr Cheney said during a joint press conference with John Howard, the Australian prime minister.

Cheney warns of Iran's nuclear ambition...then, after wrapping up their talks, Cheney and Howard, who have been friends for years, headed off to go boating in the harbor.

"They clearly try to find ways to question the authority of the central government" Cheney told reporters...
