In the middle of it all while everything was everything, I stopped and stood still while still waters ran deeper through my soul than ever. I knew right away that there was nothing left for me to do but realize myself into existence for yet another roll around the wheel. This was even though my prior service of cycles had carried me to selflessness worthy of the blessed lotus flower of release into the bliss of the bosom of the infinite - to be selfless forever selfless but one with the one of all. ... an urgent sense of an appointment not yet kept, a visit remaining to be paid, a soul in need of a caring touch...swept over and through and within me and in the next moment I was realizing ... myself ... yet once again. On the notion of the analysis of the impact of what has transpired in several of the middle-east Arab countries on the Palestine - Israel peace process, one said that truth and consistency will be required of the USA to avoid the facts being known about the decades of American complicity with the dictators, and then quipped. "If the United States does not admit that Israel is an occupying power in Gaza and the West Bank, there will be no peace, you will have a process without peace. Just like the Roadmap was a Road with no Map."

Believe it or not...

Our planet is controlled by a corrupt Über-class that conducts it's day to day business via a worldwide scheme perpetrated through a series of bribes, kickbacks, payoffs, favors and "gifts" exchanged between themselves. Meanwhile, they grind away at humanity with a sickening procession of "conflicts" they use to propel their military-industrial-political financial Juggernaut forward. Huge weapons contracts are negotiated with dictators, despots, autocrats and tyrants with the off-shore numbered bank accounts of "presidents", "legislators", "politicians", "diplomats", "leaders", "envoys" and "emissaries" ticking ever higher with each fighter jet, bomb, missile or anti-personnel mine shipment to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel and you-name-where-else. Lavish vacations, jewelry and assorted riches beyond what most average citizens can even imagine are handed about as tokens of appreciation for the facilitation of the graft and corrupt deals. Through into the mix the so-called leaders of the "free world" casually looking the other way while their dictatorial partners in these crimes do whatever they want to their own people, using the very military infrastructure they have been provided with through mind-numbing "military aid packages" to the tune of billions of dollars. ... taxpayer dollars!!! They oppress non-violent protesters, beating, imprisoning and yes even killing them to silence their cries that while the dictators line their pockets and ride high, the populace subsists in abject poverty or worse. They subject their citizenry to unspeakable hardship and deny them their own freedom in determining the course of their own lives. They fail to support the individuals rights to pursue economic entrepreneurship if they are not properly connected or pay the appropriate "fees". The recent popular uprisings spreading across the middle east is directly the result of the people in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain ... finally getting access to information that sheds the disinfectant of the light of day on this entire stinking mess.

All the while the censored and ghost-written "media" keep us properly misinformed of the reality in which we exist ... and the FBI, CIA and the rest protect the criminals and attack the whistle-blowers seizing their computers at gun-point, labeling them, yes, you guessed it, "terrorists"!!!

Dear reader, prepare yourself for there is a change in the wind. Finally the truth about what has been going on for decades is beginning to emerge. Not as a single uncovered case but vast network exposing hundreds of thousands of documented examples. This is not speculation but a frightening image of this disgusting and sad state of affairs backed up by hard evidence. Think wikileaks was newsworthy? There is a new kid on the block and they appear poised to tear the roof off this sucker!!!

Are you angry? ... at least disturbed? Watch this video where a certain "leader" shows his impunity and makes a pass to revisit the scene of one of the largest crimes in history when the Air Force One backup plane buzzes skyscrapers in Manhattan. By the way, not that he has not been part of the "business as usual" program, Obama was not the "leader" on board who ordered this flight. The details of what actually was going on here have not been declassified....

According to BBC News, "Since January 2009 nearly 2,500 people have been killed in Pakistan as a result of US drones and Islamic militant attacks. [...] More than 700 people have been killed in such attacks under Mr. Obama, compared with slightly fewer than 200 from under his predecessor, George W Bush. AP Reports that "Two American missile attacks killed 15 people Friday in a region in northwest Pakistan." They go on to say "U.S. officials do not acknowledge firing the missiles, much less comment on who they are targeting." Even Al-Qaeda claims responsibility for their attacks. Why is U.S. foreign policy to take lethal actions, on the soil of another sovereign nation, and "not acknowledge" it? Quoting Council on Foreign Relations, "Although targeting terror suspects with UAVs in official combat areas is deemed legal, the use of the technology outside a declared zone of combat--i.e., Iraq and Afghanistan--has brought international criticism. Complicating the picture in Pakistan is that the UAV-targeting program is believed to be operated by the CIA; a number of disclosures by senior U.S. officials have all-but confirmed the operations. The distinction between military applications and covert CIA use of drones has become a point of contention, as are issues pertaining to collateral damage and legal justification." According to The New York Times, "In September, drone attacks in Pakistan drastically increased as part of the C.I.A.'s covert war in the region. I would like to engage you in a dialog. To start, let me ask all of you a question...

Let us say for the sake of our discussion that you are in charge of transportation infrastructure energy policy for Planet Earth. If you find a world wide government post beyond your capacity of imagination, you can assume your scope is reduced to North America ... just bear with me, I submit the perspective applies equally well regardless of scale. You are about to make public your roadmap for the future.

Of course, your choices are myriad, with many recommending and deselecting aspects to be considered for each.

Of course we still have countless numbers of other matters of equal or perhaps greater import than this, for one example we need to settle on the optimal energy sourcing formula. But for this episode of our dialog, dear reader, please consider this.

If through an exhaustive, comprehensive and decades-spanning analysis process you had narrowed your choices down to the following two, which in your official capacity, would you select and why?

You will direct your planet (...or your personal composting heap, for you backyard scale folks that are still with me) to set as the strategic goal the achievement of an infrastructure based on energy movement and delivery via one of these. Will you select -

the worldwide transport, storage, distribution and burning of a highly flammable toxic liquid fuel or...
distribution of energy using an electrical grid?

I know which one I would choose...

Chandrayaan-1 has reportedly found water on the lunar surface -- one of the main missions of the spacecraft. According to The Times newspaper, India's first lunar mission has found evidence of large quantities of water on its surface.

Confirming this to The Pioneer on Thursday in Bangalore over phone, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman G Madhavan Nair said,” there is confirmation of traces of water on Moon. It is a path breaking event as far as Chandrayaan mission is concerned. It is very significant. So far no lunar mission has confirmed the presence of water particularly”.

Obama seeks Patriot Act extensions...

The Obama administration has asked Congress to extend three contentious provisions of the USA Patriot Act - a bill once described by President Obama as "shoddy" - and urged an appeals court to deny access to U.S. courts for detainees at a military prison in Afghanistan.

The three portions permit roving wiretaps, the seizure of certain business records and the monitoring of suspected "lone wolf" terrorists. Mr. Weich said the administration is willing to consider modifications that provide additional privacy protections provided they do not undermine the effectiveness of the provisions.

The American Civil Liberties Union said it is "disappointed" that the administration wants "the reauthorization of the three expiring provisions." The group said, however, that it is "encouraged" by the administration's willingness to discuss reforms to the Patriot Act, which President Obama in 2004 called "a shoddy piece of legislation."

American Government Upset War Reality Made Public...

The heartbreaking image of a dying U.S. marine that has reignited American divisions over the Afghan war...

It is a deeply disturbing image which depicts the grim reality of war - a fatally wounded U.S. soldier lies slumped in the mud as fellow marines desperately try to save him as his young life ebbs away.

But the release of the picture by a news agency in the U.S., which went against the wishes of the victim's family, has sparked a furious debate which has divided a nation.

The grim photograph shows Lance Corporal Joshua 'Bernie' Bernard, 21, shortly after he was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade during a Taliban ambush of his squad last month in Dahaneh, Afghanistan.

The U.S. defence secretary, Robert Gates, condemned the decision by the news agency Associated Press to publish the graphic photograph after Bernard was killed in Afghanistan.

In a scathing letter to Tom Curley, president and chief executive of the AP, Gates said the decision was 'appalling', saying it was a matter of 'judgment and common decency' not to publish the photo.

Gates wrote in the letter: 'I cannot imagine the pain and suffering Lance Corporal Bernard's death has caused his family.

'Why your organisation would purposely defy the family's wishes knowing full well that it will lead to yet more anguish is beyond me.

'Your lack of compassion and common sense in choosing to put this image of their maimed and stricken child on the front page of multiple newspapers is appalling.'

However, AP has defended the decision, which editors said they made only after careful review and sharing the pictures with the family.

The news agency said it decided 'to make public an image that conveys the grimness of war and the sacrifice of young men and women fighting it'.

My sympathy and condolences to the Bernard family and friends on their tragic loss. Many years ago during the U.S. Civil War, Union General William Tecumseh Sherman said "War is Hell". Photos like this can help with the lesson of the words which the human race and America in particular need to reflect upon... Blending his trademark humor with tragic individual stories, archive footage and publicity stunts, the 55-year-old launches an all out attack on the capitalist system, arguing that it benefits the rich and condemns millions to poverty.

'Moon rock' in Dutch museum is just petrified wood

AMSTERDAM -- The Dutch national museum says one of its prized possessions, a rock supposedly brought back from the moon by U.S. astronauts, is just a piece of petrified wood.

The museum acquired the rock after the death of a former prime minister, who received it in 1969 from the then-U.S. ambassador during a visit by the Apollo 11 astronauts.

An expert saw it on display in 2006 and told the museum it was unlikely NASA would have given away any moon rocks three months after Apollo returned to earth.

Geologists from Amsterdam's Free University said they could see at a glance the rock was not from the moon.

A museum spokeswoman said Thursday the geologists identified it as petrified wood worth no more than euro50 ($70).

Arkansas Election Officials Baffled by Machines That Flipped Race

"Election officials in Faulkner County, Arkansas, are trying to determine how two voting machines allocated votes cast in one race to an entirely different race that was not even on the electronic ballot. The problem resulted in the wrong candidate being declared the winner in a state House race. Election commissioner Bruce Haggard says he does not understand how the error could have happened. The error occurred on two touch-screen voting machines made by Election Systems & Software, which were the only machines used in Faulkner County's East Cadron B voting precinct. Haggard says the night before the election officials noticed that the electronic ballot on the two machines was missing the State House District 45 race, so officials printed paper ballots to be used just for that race in the precinct. Voters used the machines to cast votes for other races, and cast paper ballots for the District 45 race, but a post-election examination revealed that despite the fact that the electronic ballots on the two machines did not display the District 45 race, the machines recorded votes for that contest. Officials eventually determined that the machines took votes cast in the Cadron Township Constable race and put them in the non-existent District 45 race. Haggard says officials were able to determine where the votes came from because the machines produced a voter-verifiable paper audit trail, which correctly showed that there was no District 45 race on the ballot and therefore there were no votes cast in that race on the machines. Haggard says he expects ES&S to provide a reason for why the machines distributed the votes incorrectly, and he has asked the secretary of state's office to conduct an examination with ES&S, which Haggard says will likely take place in June."

Sen. McCain, first, thanks for your service to our people and nation.

I believe that America's biggest challenge is the failure to engage in a constructive foreign policy, as opposed to a destructive foreign policy. This has created an economic drain that is clearly unsupportable, and frankly, made America less safe, rather than more safe. We need to change our attitude towards other countries, peoples, religions and thought perspectives, and embrace rather than seek to dominate and destroy them. The strength of our world is in its diversity, and the policy that America is engaged in is one of seeking to render all to follow our "democratic" style of government, which frankly we are still struggling to accomplish.

Another major problem is the faulty technology base we have fostered. Because there has been no holistic analysis of the impact of technology, pollution and depletion of non-renewables is wreaking havoc on the very fabric of the planet. So many species are going extinct and the ecosystem of the planet is in great peril. Like our foreign policy, the blind imposition of our will has run roughshod over the living organism that is the earth and these failed approaches will ultimately be our demise.

Health care is a huge issue. We have gotten that wrong as well. The third leading cause of death is the so-called "health care system" itself. Again the lack of a basic understanding that the human body is a self-correcting system and that provided proper nutrition, clean and natural water and a rational lifestyle, free of technology created pollution, health would naturally follow has led to an undernourished, over-medicated population that is doomed to grow ever sicker and more dependent of the system that is killing it. Cancer and heart disease are completely preventable and that is where the focus should be, not on curing them as those conditions are merely symptoms of the flawed approach to health followed in this country.

So the fundamental problem that America faces is lack of enlightened leadership and the flawed strategy of seeking dominance rather than cooperation, both with the peoples of this world, and the very planet itself.

Real Men...

In 1961, a young African-American man, after hearing President John F. Kennedy's challenge to, 'Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country,' gave up his student deferment, left college in Virginia and voluntarily joined the Marines.

In 1963, this man, having completed his two years of service in the Marines, volunteered again to become a Navy corpsman. (They provide medical assistance to the Marines as well as to Navy personnel.)

The man did so well in corpsman school that he was the valedictorian and became a cardiopulmonary technician. Not surprisingly, he was assigned to the Navy's premier medical facility, Bethesda Naval Hospital, as a member of the commander in chief's medical team, and helped care for President Lyndon B. Johnson after his 1966 surgery.

For his service on the team, which he left in 1967, the White House awarded him three letters of commendation.

What is even more remarkable is that this man entered the Marines and Navy not many years after the two branches began to become integrated.

While this young man was serving six years on active duty, Vice President Dick Cheney, who was born the same year as the Marine/ sailor, received five deferments, four for being an undergraduate and graduate student and one for being a prospective father.

Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, both five years younger than the African-American youth, used their student deferments to stay in college until 1968. Both then avoided going on active duty through family connections.

Who is the real patriot? The young man who interrupted his studies to serve his country for six years or our three political leaders who beat the system? Are the patriots the people who actually sacrifice something or those who merely talk about their love of the country?

After leaving the service of his country, the young African-American finished his final year of college, entered the seminary, was ordained as a minister, and eventually became pastor of a large church in one of America's biggest cities.

This man is Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the retiring pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ.

Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, ‘Error – Program not run on external components.’ What should I do?

Tech Support: Don’t worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Customer: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the ‘My Heart’ directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before We hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Customer: Thank you.

Prophecy
"Warriors of the Rainbow"
There was an old lady, from the "Cree" tribe, named "Eyes of Fire", who prophesied that one day, because of the white mans' or Yo-ne-gis' greed, there would come a time, when the fish would die in the streams, the birds would fall from the air, the waters would be blackened, and the trees would no longer be, mankind as we would know it would all but cease to exist.

There would come a time when the "keepers of the legend, stories, culture rituals, and myths, and all the Ancient Tribal Customs" would be needed to restore us to health. They would be mankinds’ key to survival, they were the "Warriors of the Rainbow". There would come a day of awakening when all the peoples of all the tribes would form a New World of Justice, Peace, Freedom and recognition of the Great Spirit.

The "Warriors of the Rainbow" would spread these messages and teach all peoples of the Earth or "Elohi". They would teach them how to live the "Way of the Great Spirit". They would tell them of how the world today has turned away from the Great Spirit and that is why our Earth is "Sick".

The "Warriors of the Rainbow" would show the peoples that this "Ancient Being" (the Great Spirit), is full of love and understanding, and teach them how to make the "Earth or Elohi" beautiful again. These Warriors would give the people principles or rules to follow to make their path right with the world. These principles would be those of the Ancient Tribes. The Warriors of the Rainbow would teach the people of the ancient practices of Unity, Love and Understanding. They would teach of Harmony among people in all four comers of the Earth.

Like the Ancient Tribes, they would teach the peoples how to pray to the Great Spirit with love that flows like the beautiful mountain stream, and flows along the path to the ocean of life. Once again, they would be able to feel joy in solitude and in councils. They would be free of petty jealousies and love all mankind as their brothers, regardless of color, race or religion. They would feel happiness enter their hearts, and become as one with the entire human race. Their hearts would be pure and radiate warmth, understanding and respect for all mankind, Nature, and the Great Spirit. They would once again fill their minds, hearts, souls, and deeds with the purest of thoughts. They would seek the beauty of the Master of Life - the Great Spirit! They would find strength and beauty in prayer and the solitudes of life.

Their children would once again be able to run free and enjoy the treasures of Nature and Mother Earth. Free from the fears of toxins and destruction, wrought by the Yo-ne-gi and his practices of greed. The rivers would again run clear, the forests be abundant and beautiful, the animals and birds would be replenished. The powers of the plants and animals would again be respected and conservation of all that is beautiful would become a way of life.

The poor, sick and needy would be cared for by their brothers and sisters of the Earth. These practices would again become a part of their daily lives.

The leaders of the people would be chosen in the old way - not by their political party, or who could speak the loudest, boast the most, or by name calling or mud slinging, but by those whose actions spoke the loudest. Those who demonstrated their love, wisdom, and courage and those who showed that they could and did work for the good of all, would be chosen as the leaders or Chiefs. They would be chosen by their "quality" and not the amount of money they had obtained. Like the thoughtful and devoted "Ancient Chiefs", they would understand the people with love, and see that their young were educated with the love and wisdom of their surroundings. They would show them that miracles can be accomplished to heal this world of its ills, and restore it to health and beauty.

The tasks of these "Warriors of the Rainbow" are many and great. There will be terrifying mountains of ignorance to conquer and they shall find prejudice and hatred. They must be dedicated, unwavering in their strength, and strong of heart. They will find willing hearts and minds that will follow them on this road of returning "Mother Earth" to beauty and plenty - once more.

The day will come, it is not far away. The day that we shall see how we owe our very existence to the people of all tribes that have maintained their culture and heritage. Those that have kept the rituals, stories, legends, and myths alive. It will be with this knowledge, the knowledge that they have preserved, that we shall once again return to "harmony" with Nature, Mother Earth, and mankind. It will be with this knowledge that we shall find our "Key to our Survival".

This is the story of the "Warriors of the Rainbow" and this is my reason for protecting the culture, heritage, and knowledge of my ancestors. I know that the day "Eyes of Fire" spoke of - will come! I want my children and grandchildren to be prepared to accept this task.The task of being one of the........"Warriors of the Rainbow".

From Bush's radio address: “The bill Congress sent me would take away one of the most valuable tools in the war on terror — the CIA program to detain and question key terrorist leaders and operatives.” The bill, of course, does no such thing. It does not take away the CIA’s right to detain anyone. It does not take away the CIA’s right to question anyone. It only forbids the CIA to employ waterboarding and other forms of torture or degrading and dehumanizing treatment of inmates-inmates, we should always, always remember, who aren’t terrorists, but alleged terrorists. Until they are proven so, it is only their incarcerators who are the demonstrably proven terrorists.

McCain on waterboarding: Straight Talk Curve Ball?

— Waterboarding is a form of torture no matter how it is done and should be a prohibited among U.S. military interrogation practices, Republican presidential candidate John McCain said today, taking issue with GOP rival Rudy Giuliani’s recent remarks.

“Anyone who knows what waterboarding is could not be unsure. It is a horrible torture technique used by Pol Pot and being used on Buddhist monks as we speak,” said McCain after a campaign stop at Dordt College here.

“People who have worn the uniform and had the experience know that this is a terrible and odious practice and should never be condoned in the U.S. We are a better nation than that.”

Compare and contrast that stand with what Senator McCain said recently:

Feb. 20, 2008 - Yellow Springs, Oh. - AP
- Republican presidential candidate John McCain said President Bush should veto a measure that would bar the CIA from using waterboarding and other harsh interrogation methods on terror suspects.

McCain voted against the bill, which would restrict the CIA to using only the 19 interrogation techniques listed in the Army field manual.

His vote was controversial because the manual prohibits waterboarding - a simulated drowning technique that McCain also opposes - yet McCain doesn't want the CIA bound by the manual and its prohibitions...

More "Straight Talk": "I was on the record as saying that they could use additional techniques as long as they were not cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment," McCain said. "So the vote was in keeping with my clear record of saying that they could have additional techniques, but those techniques could not violate" international rules against torture."

So the CIA using waterboarding somehow doesn't qualify as making it "condoned in the U.S."?

Let's consider the facts here, the New York Times has endorsed John McCain... so why put this flimsy tabloid attack on their front page?

We are all speculating about the real reason this story hit the presses. Only after it has had time to play itself out will its actual impact be known. In his press conference this morning, McCain did not display anger or rage, like one might expect when ones reputation has been trashed. Like some other posters have mentioned, one thing is certain... McCain is the only name on the lips of the news apparatus today. If this story had not broke, all we would be hearing about is Obama winning 11 in a row. If he is able to quash this entirely, discredit the NYT, and emerge smelling like a rose, then he will have a net lift in his campaign. Could this be a masterful Rove-ian media manipulation to get McCain into the public consciousness, clear himself, and gain mindshare?

Update - "February 22, 2008 -- John McCain yesterday quickly turned the backlash against a thinly sourced New York Times report that he had an extramarital affair into a gold mine for his campaign - using it to raise badly needed funds and rally conservatives to his side." ... Scott Reed, a longtime GOP strategist, noted, "Nothing will rally conservatives around McCain like shabby reporting from The New York Times."

nuclear energy's dirty little secret...

WASHINGTON — Forgotten but not gone, the waste from more than 100 nuclear reactors that the federal government was supposed to start accepting for burial 10 years ago is still at the reactor sites, at least 20 years behind schedule.

So many problems have beset the plans for disposal of nuclear waste. Government scientists may have falsified documents related to the $58 billion Yucca Mountain nuclear waste project in Nevada. The development could jeopardize the controversial project, which is still being built and is the only repository for the nation's waste from commercial nuclear reactors. In the United States alone, the Department of Energy states that there are "millions of gallons of radioactive waste" as well as "thousands of tons of spent nuclear fuel and material" and also "huge quantities of contaminated soil and water".

We have built a hydrocarbon based energy fiasco that is creating strife in so many ways from global wars to global warming. Nuclear power is as ill-thought-out or worse than the existing situation. Don't be fooled.
